a healthy balance:

in the past 4 years, i have experienced both sides of the too-big-too-skinny spectrum. at one point, i thought i was too heavy and others thought i looked healthy. at another point, i thought i was at a good weight but others thought i was too skinny. it has been a challenge for me to find a place where i am content with my body and others aren't criticizing me. welcome to my journey.

here, you'll find a collection of what inspires me to continue living a healthy and happy life.

about me

i am a 22 year old female, currently going to college for my master’s in occupational therapy. i started becoming interested in fitness and health about 3 years ago after i returned from studying in Australia for a semester — the weight i gained from freshman year of college through my time in Australia was becoming too overwhelming for me and i decided to change it.

currently
height: 5’ 5”
weight: 110 lbs
goal: gain 3-5 lbs of toned muscle while promoting fat loss

i frequently research all components of being healthy: weight loss, fat loss, fitness for weight/fat loss, nutrition for weight/fat loss, best diets and supplements for weight/fat loss AHHH.

i find myself within a minority of people who have lost weight, are trying to maintain it, and possibly even trying to gain weight. this has been difficult for me because i read all of the tips and tricks for people who want to lose weight and become immersed in that lifestyle — it is actually very counterproductive for my goals. visit my ‘nutrition’ page for more info!
